Initially hesitant, Megan Saylors changed her perspective about wildland firefighting after college. Drawn in by the challenge, excitement, and camaraderie, she made it her career after completing degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology.

Currently serving with the US Forest Service in the Dixie National Forest, Megan has gained 15 years of experience in various firefighting roles across the western US. She now leads efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in wildland firefighting through the Women in Wildland Fire program in southern Utah.
