Kimberly is a Captain with the Eden Prairie Fire Department in Minnesota, where she has been since 2000. Kimberly has certifications as EMT, HazMat Technician, Apparatus Operator and Blue Card Hazard Zone Management. In addition, she has been the President of the North Star Women’s Firefighter Association since she helped to found the organization in 2006.
Kimberly was the recipient of the Eden Prairie Athena Award in 2007 for the work she has done to promote women in the fire service. Kim has an A.A.S. in Fire Science and a Bachelor’s Degree at Waldorf University in Fire Science Administration. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership for Public Administration.
Prior to becoming the Executive Director for Women in Fire, Kimberly was the Trustee for the Volunteer Section.
Kimberly and her husband, Brian, have 2 children, Nicholas and Addyson, and a grandson Landon.
