The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is accepting applications for Ambulance Operator (AO)-Paramedics, who provide basic and advanced medical care to the ill and injured, providing patient transport services, and may operate an ambulance responding to emergency medical aid calls. We have multiple vacancies throughout the County.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
County Fire Paramedics receive full benefits and a competitive annual salary range of
$59,704.32 – $71,019.52 including built-in overtime pay.
3% Annual Across the Board Salary Increases in February 2024
Bi-annual step increases of 2.5% up to top step
The County also offers an alternative Modified Benefits Option (Download PDF reader) (MBO) that provides a wage differential of $1.75 per hour above the base salary rate with modified benefits.
The MBO annual salary range for AO Paramedics is $65,528 – $76,848 including built-in overtime pay.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must posses all of the following:
Valid California Paramedic License OR Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) Certification. A copy must be attached to your application.
Valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) card.
Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card.
